Her decades-long design career—which has spanned categories like clothing, perfume, and handbags—has led her to become a household name. But among all of her endeavors, she is perhaps best known for her footprint in the wedding industry. Vera Wang wedding dresses have long been favored by brides and celebrities alike, which means we've seen quite a few memorable designs over the years. Here, we look back on the most iconic Vera Wang celebrity wedding gowns, worn by singers, actresses, political figures, and more. Sarah Hyland's Wedding Dress

As the most recent Vera Wang celebrity bride, actress Sarah Hyland wore two stunning gowns from the bridal atelier to marry media personality Wells Adams. Hyland, who rose to fame on ABC's hit sitcom Modern Family, met Adams—a radio host and former contestant on The Bachelorette—over Instagram back in 2016. They began dating a year later, and Adams popped the question in 2019. After postponing their wedding plans multiple times due to the coronavirus pandemic, they finally got married in August 2022 at Sunstone Winery in Santa Barbara, California.

The bride first wore an ivory silk faille sweetheart ballgown with a hand-pleated bodice and French tulle sleeves for her ceremony. The full skirt had a sky-high slit, and she accessorized her look with a cathedral-length Italian tulle veil with a hand appliqué macramé lace border. Once the afterparty began, she changed into another Vera Wang Haute Couture design: a soft white Italian crepe gown with a draped neckline, hand-placed macramé lace and draped Italian tulle sleeves. Wang herself commented on the bride's looks through the brand's Instagram caption, writing, "CHARM PERSONIFIED🙏. So happy to share in your happiness! Much love. XXV"

Gwen Stefani's Wedding Dress

Singer Gwen Stefani has worn not one, not two, but three Vera Wang wedding dresses over the years. The first was back in 2019, when she wore a white bridal-inspired gown to accept the Fashion Icon Award at the People's Choice Awards. Two years later, she tapped the design maven once again for her July 2021 wedding to Blake Shelton. Wang created two custom wedding dresses for the bride; the first, which Stefani wore during the ceremony, was a white silk georgette gown that featured a sweetheart plunging neckline, an open back, fitted bodice and high low hand tumbled tulle skirt. She wore her hair in a simple updo underneath a chapel-length veil, which boasted hand-embroidery of her name, Shelton's name, and the names of Stefani's sons.

Once the reception began, Stefani traded her wedding gown for a second outfit, also custom-designed by Wang. She donned a memorable strapless Italian silk crepe mini dress with a full tulle skirt. A pair of silk, crystal and sequin embroidered love birds were sewn onto the waistline, representing Stefani and Shelton, along with three smaller birds representing her kids. She completed her outfit with a pair of white stiletto cowboy boots and a shorter veil with a white bow. "You need a party dress when you get to marry Blake Shelton," she wrote of the look on Instagram.

Hailey Bieber's Reception Dress

Following her South Carolina wedding ceremony in September 2019, model Hailey Bieber swapped her lace long-sleeve Virgil Abloh gown for her first reception outfit: a custom Vera Wang ivory silk charmeuse bias-cut dress. The slinky look included a trendy asymmetric cowl neckline, a plunging open back with a cross-strapped accent, and a hand-draped sleeve. In a photo first of the dress shared by close friend and stylist Maeve Reilly, the bride is seen laughing with groom Justin Bieber while showing off a pair of white sneakers.

Ariana Grande's Wedding Dress

Ariana Grande is one of our all-time favorite Vera Wang celebrity brides, and for good reason. According to Vogue, the Grammy-award-winning singer once made a pact with Wang at a Met Gala party years earlier to have the designer create her wedding dress—and it came to fruition in May 2021 when she married Dalton Gomez at home in Montecito, California. The bride channeled Audrey Hepburn in her custom lily white, silk charmeuse, empire-waist column gown. The showstopping creation featured a sculpted neckline, an exposed bra-strap closure, and a plunging back, which was accented with a shoulder-length hand-pleated bubble veil that had a silk bow on the top. Wang took to Instagram to reflect on the design experience, saying Grande was "a truly magical muse."

Issa Rae's Wedding Dress

Of all the Vera Wang wedding dresses worn by celebrities, Issa Rae's is one of the best. The Insecure actress tapped Wang to design two custom looks for her nuptials to Louis Diame in the South of France. For the ceremony, she wore a romantic ivory strapless sweetheart neckline ball gown, covered with hand-placed Chantilly lace and accented with hand-sewn crystal beading. She completed the look by wearing a light ivory chapel length veil that also had matching hand-placed Chantilly lace. Later in the day, she changed into a second Italian silk crepe A-line reception gown with a plunging V-neck. The dress featured a layered tulle skirt and a front slit.

Son Ye-jin's Wedding Dress

South Korean actress Son Ye-jin, who married fellow actor Hyun Bin on March 31, 2022 in Seoul, South Korea, is yet another one of our favorite Vera Wang celebrity brides. For her big day, the bride chose Wang's "Camilla" dress, originally from the label's Spring 2020 bridal collection. The ethereal design had an asymmetrical hand draped French tulle bodice that led into a macramé lace skirt, veiled with a dramatic tulle overlay. The groom, for his part, matched in an ivory wedding suit.

For her second look, she changed into a sage green macramé lace A-line gown with a dramatic nude tulle overlay, a high neck and delicate cap sleeve accents. She completed the ensemble by weaving green and purple flowers into her hair.

Mariah Carey's Wedding Dress

Yes, it's true: Pop diva Mariah Carey was a Vera Wang celebrity bride back in 1993. She wed music executive Tommy Mottola in a sweetheart neckline ball gown, which she accented with a glittering tiara. Perhaps the most iconic element, though, was the 27-foot train that took six assistants to lift.

Victoria Beckham's Wedding Dress

Of all the Vera Wang wedding dresses worn by celebrities, Posh Spice's is one of the most recognizable. Victoria Beckham wore a custom strapless corseted ballgown designed by Wang to marry soccer star David Beckham in 1999, which featured a unique scoop neckline with pointed edges.

Over 20 years later, the bride re-wore her iconic gown in an editorial spread for British Vogue—and yes, it still looked just as fabulous as it did back in the '90s.

Bravo fans, this one's for you: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna was a Vera Wang celebrity bride too! Then a soap actress, she wore a simple sheath with a V-neckline to marry Harry Hamlin in 1997. And, as it turns out, this Vera Wang celebrity wedding gown lives on. According to PAPER Magazine, Rinna still has framed sketches of the dress hanging in her hallway. On Mother's Day in 2021, her lookalike daughter Amelia teamed up with the publication to recreate her mom's wedding portraits in the dress—and she also revealed it may not be her last time wearing it. "Ever since I was a little girl and walking down that hallway with the Vera sketches, I knew that I'm going to get a dress from Vera or I'm going to wear your dress," she said. "That was my dream: to either get a new Vera or to wear yours. Putting it on was the most surreal feeling."

Beyond celebrities, Vera Wang has also designed wedding dresses for political figures too. Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton wore a sparkly Wang dress for her 2010 nuptials to Mark Mezvinksy. The design had a full gathered silk organza skirt, a draped tulle bodice and an embellished belt, once a staple of Wang's design style.

Kate Hudson's Wedding Dress

While not technically a celebrity wedding dress, Vera Wang's bridal designs played a major role in the 2009 rom-com Bride Wars, starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway. In the film, best friends-turned-dueling brides fight for one open wedding slot at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Memorably, Hudson's character Liv Lerner donned a classic Vera Wang strapless ball gown with a full tulle skirt and purple sash tied around the waist for the big day.

Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian's Wedding Dresses

Although photos are hard to come by, both Kim and Khloe Kardashian wore Vera Wang wedding gowns. Khloe was the first Vera Wang celebrity bride of the family when she had the designer create her mermaid wedding dress worn to marry Lamar Odom back in 2009. A few years later, Kim wore a white Vera Wang ball gown with a full tulle skirt, which she customized to have a strapless neckline, for her August 2011 wedding to basketball player Kris Humphries. (Despite the lavish nuptials, their marriage famously only lasted for 72 days.)
